Journeyman Feb. 22: Picasso

Pablo Picasso is a much different artist then we have been talking about so far.  He was part of a movement called Cubism.  He is a Spanish painter that started at a very young age. His first piece of art was at 9 years old.  Picasso painted for a total of 9 decades! He was the first artist to get a work displayed in the Louvre Museum in France before his death.

Here is another fun fact while Pablo Picasso is best known by his last name, his full name is 25 words long. At his baptism, Picasso was christened Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Martyr Patricio Clito Ruíz y Picasso.

His work changed a great deal as he aged. Spend 10 minutes looking at the progression of his art.
