Field Trip Feb. 29 “Echo” & US Synthetics

Writing Assignment

I know it’s a field trip week, but hang in there with me. I want to give you as much time as you can for prepping for the World’s Fair, so we need to get these paragraphs done. You’ll survive this! You can do hard things!

We’re putting it all together and writing the paragraphs that you’ve been preparing for all year. This week I want you to write about your ancestor. Remember that you’ve already written your introductory sentence (it’s in the middle box) and your concluding sentence (it’s in the last box). Now you’ll write 1-2 sentences for the other boxes to complete the paragraph.

Listen to the book “Echo” by Pam Munoz Ryan. It’s a great listen, but don’t wait too long to get started, it’s 10.5 hours long. You’ll love it and it’s a great prep for the lessons on WWII that we have coming up. The book discussion will be held in the café at US Synthetics after the tour.
